Dispatcher

NAJ Trucking Inc. is a family-owned company and is looking for a Dispatcher to work with our team in our Twinsburg, OH location.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient communication between drivers and customers. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor and track truck locations, loads, and job site requirements
• Maintain communication with drivers to provide updates, delays, or special instructions and relays delivery status to customers.
• Review driver assignments, delivery times, loads, and other transportation data to help NAJ Trucking and its drivers to operate more efficiently.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
• Troubleshoot any logistical challenges that may occur during the transportation process.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, state, local, and company regulations.
• Engage in Trip planning with drivers to ensure on time pickup and delivery, efficient routing, and HOS compliance.
• Perform data entry duties to accurately track and update all hauled loads in company software.
• Assist in load audits to solve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing of loads.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or a related field, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and transportation management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
• Knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Dispatching preferred.
• CDL-A license preferred.
